Wear The Vest

I have a neon lime jersey for those cold dark mornings. I have a reflective sash, and an Amphipod reflective harness which I wear more often. When it's dark, I've got a solid pattern wired tail light at dead center, and 2 PBSF lights blinking on my seat stays. There's a reflective triangle hanging off the back of my saddlebag, and reflective tape on my fenders, mudflaps, and every tube of my bike. I have an E3 headlight and a Princeton Tec helmet light. I wear the neon lime jersey, 2 ankle bands, and the reflective sash. source

I live in Arizona where it gets pretty damn hot and having a tact vest is the best thing. It is not as hot then the concealable vest and it free up a lost of room from your belt. I have my OC, Flashlight, expandable, digital voice recorder, two pair of hand cuffs. If your agency would allow you to use one you should. source

I am 5 weeks post-op and I have no significant, but some, swelling or scar tissue. I massaged the area 3 times a day for 5 minutes with Arnica Gel. source

I wear one for the XC portion of eventing and schooling XC. I've never used it for SJ but I've seen multiple use it for lessons and showing. Its not such a bad idea, I dont wear mine for SJ but if I had a horse that would possibly need it then I would. source

I usually indicate use of bandages for the first week, then two to six weeks of vest use if there are no complications. I recomend use of the vest only in the daytime for week five and every other day in the daytime for week six. That way, you do not present sudden swelling when you stop using the vest. Your surgeon must make the official recommendation of course, but this is my usual scenario. source
