My husband are going to Sandals for my 40th birthday in May. How strict are the dress codes for dinner at night? Can my hubby wear jeans and dressy sandals? Or does it have to be dress pants/shoes? Is it easy to rent a car and drive around the island?...

I have also naturally add socks.

If you're used to walking in them, there won't be a problem .
DD wears sandals all the time too.
And the Keens are slides, not the big bulky ones .
I wear flip flops or Keens all the time.

Am I the only one who wears shorts year round? I pretty much wear shorts to school everyday whether it's 90 degrees out or 15 degrees.
