Two years or so ago I bought a Maruyama BC402 at an auction for $7.50. The only person bidding against me was a scrapper. The motor would not turn and the shaft was frozen.

I saw the "generic blade head" that Echo makes for string trimmers at Home Depot .
I have a commercial grade Echo that came with a saw blade head in place of the string trimmer head .

I recently bought a roybi weed whacker from home depot for 110, i later find out that its going to over-heat when running for extended periods of time & also that it only runs on half choke or whatever.

You're running a trimmer.
It's called a string trimmer or just a trimmer...not a weed whacker.

I have a Homelite UT20006 Weed wacker. It cranks up fine when in full choke, but if I put it in half choke it dies. What is wrong with it? How do I fix it?

Are you comfortable rebuilding the carb? As I was disassembling, the fuel line pulled... .
This will help us help you find a rebuild kit .
Look at the carb and locate #'s stamped on it .
Sounds like the carburetor needs a cleaning/new diaphragms and gaskets .

I have a 10 yr old WeedEater Featherlight 17CC weed wacker that I have been using during the summer months for my landscaping business. I am still amazed to this day that this machine continues to perform just as well as the day I bought it at Wally World...
