I'm looking for tack shops with a good variety of western saddles in the greater Raleigh area. I need to go shopping for a few clients and would like to make a day of it.

About large selection of Western saddles - new and used.
Carolina Tack Traders in Ramseur has a wide selection of Western Saddles new and used.
I am thinking of riders over 50 here - I dont think we have ever had a discussion of what saddles we use or problems we may have had as riders. How does a saddle affect you physically, your aches and pains? How does it affect how safe you feel on a horse...

2.The weight of the Western saddles - even that trains Minnie started....
But I can comment on Western in the UK and so it is far harder to find a good saddler.
Not that I am entirely sure how they differ.
And all purpose saddles.
I'm planning on getting a Western stage props saddle as my first trick saddle. I've been learning what I can in a Western saddle. So my question is what straps/ accessories do I need in addition to what comes with that saddle? Thanks!!

It would be my first trick saddle and I haven't had much luck finding a decent....
According to Western stage props, you get your saddle with breastcollar about ordering one from Western Stage Props too.
Both can handle, of course.

The Charro saddles seem better ....
I personally like Wade saddles and other saddles that give a cowboy or old-time look but are definitely western different from the western saddles that everyone normally uses.
I've just bought a "Spa" leather saddle, the touring one which would be the equivalent of the Brooks B17. Great value at £35 and I'm impressed by the quality. The saddle features an Allen head tension bolt and has, what appears to be a waterproof membrane...

But those things come....
There are two makers - Harris and Blue Ribbon - who have cutaway sides to their saddles under the stirrup fenders to allow better contact.
To get a lot of "feel" in a western saddle without dropping some $$$.
I was thinking we should have a list of the best types of saddles for women for the price. All over the forum the Derby original is a terrible saddle but rarely is there a place for the good ones. What do you think. Should treeless be the saddle or choice...
