Normally if I go with a hosting company, I use their own dns. so anyone who does a whois can figure out which company I am hosted with.
If I go with something like dnsmadeeasy etc., I use their dns servers. can someone still figure out where I am hosted...

There isn't much of a way around that.
If you're accessible from the internet, then someone can figure it out .

Doing a quick search for "xap" on the Bing page source shows:

I'd just do a view source and then search for xap .
Usually they are linked in the object tag.
You need to look in the source code of the html page hosting them .

This was a stupid mistake on my part.
I guess it won't help you in your problem, but you would do well to consider WCF or at least start to look at that technology .
Recommendation from Microsoft themselves.
You should abandon ASMX for WCF.
