I was wondering what lighting candles mean. Like when someone lights a candle in a church for someone ill or something. And the religious candles with holy pictures on them. Do they have a symbolic meaning?

The pictures on the candles (such as Virgen de Guadalupe) are to show a devotion to show that you are praying....
In churches, vigil candles are usually plain white and put in front for someone.

Does anyone have any tips on how to give PVC flicker candles a weathered/old look?

Then I did the hot glue "wax" treatment.
And were then spraypainted white with Kilz primer.
