I'm building a NES PC casemod and want to use the RCA jacks in the case for the audio connection. I'm using the Intel D945GCLF2 which has motherboard pins for front-panel audio as well as S/PDIF audio.

It's hard to say any more without knowing what motherboard it is.
Be pins for S/PDIF on the motherboard, but I expect they would be labeled as such.

Though you may be able to preform a repair install .
If not, you probably will.
Are you replacing it with an identical motherboard? If so, you shouldn't need to.

So I'm planning on building a new computer from scratch.
Things I want:
-Uber processor (Core i7), going to go with intel.
-Hdmi output (External)
-Decent sound and graphics (not massively important)
