Tho? Paddy, the white whole wheat isn't as sturdy a flour as the whole wheat but it's heavier than white flour.

wheat but not whole grain? If it is only slightly better than white flour then I don't really see: Whole wheat flour, if it is truly whole wheat, is a whole grain product.
Is whole wheat flour and whole wheat pastry flour the same thing?

Arrowhead Mills makes a whole wheat pastry flour and King Arthur has an organic....
Whole Foods might have it.
Pastry flour (whole wheat or not) has a lower protein content, to make things like flaky pie.

Why don't you find whole wheat recipes if you want brownies but I wouldn't replace all the all-purpose flour with whole wheat but I would replace some to use all....
I'd replace some of the white flour but not all.

Used white whole wheat flour (50 percent...other half was bread flour) tonight for hubby's and my firstI usually use about a third WW flour--I don't think I have tried the WWW in pizza dough yet.
I swear Ive seen it in 25# bags but I cant find it! I can find whole white wheat berries but not the ground flour. Does anyone have a link or able find it?

If I make homemade whole wheat pasta or rice (like risotto), then I count for the whole thing.
If I cook with flour (like a thickener), then I count the pp+.

I'm with the others.
The bulk of this recipe is the flour.
I agree with Anne.
Even though the flour is only one ingredient, it makes up the bulk if this recipe.
I would count the whole recipe.
