Tho? Paddy, the white whole wheat isn't as sturdy a flour as the whole wheat but it's heavier than white flour.

wheat but not whole grain? If it is only slightly better than white flour then I don't really see: Whole wheat flour, if it is truly whole wheat, is a whole grain product.

Pastry flour (whole wheat or not) has a lower protein content, to make things like flaky pie.

Why don't you find whole wheat recipes if you want brownies but I wouldn't replace all the all-purpose flour with whole wheat but I would replace some to use all....

If I cook with flour (like a thickener), then I count the pp+.

The bulk of this recipe is the flour.
I agree with Anne.
Even though the flour is only one ingredient, it makes up the bulk if this recipe.
I would count the whole recipe.
