Tried to save a freezer burnt smoked wild turkey that cooked on the smoker just a little too long. Didn't work for me, but H22 and my son liked it. I think they were just being nice.

I have been seeing some huge 30+ bird flocks in the fields near my house. I stopped hunting them years ago because those "stupid" birds were much smarter than me!!

Here is a rough estiment on how to age a turkey by measuring the spurs. Please keep in mind however that the habitat the bird lives in will affect these measurements. Such as Merriams verses Osceolas. Merriams live in rougher terrain and rocks and such...

Got this today in an email. No details on when and where. Pucker factor was probably pretty good on it. Looks like he was a Pepsi drinker or didn't like the driver.
Check out the dent in the metal above the bird. He must have been moving pretty good.
