I once came across a book? online article? on how to NOT pre-shrink fabrics first, but go ahead and quilt them and THEN shrink it to make some 'squishy' looking quilts and they were be-YOU-tiful! All searches since then have been fruitless.... anyone ...

You might want to do.
The quilt will naturally acquire that pre-loved wrinkled look.
Wash and tumble dry.
Make quilt with quite close quilting.
Just fail miserably to prewash all fabrics and batting.
I found this pattern, "shadowbox" by Kari Nichols the free pattern i got on line, only gives you block sizes/cuts. not the complete yardage for a quilt. any other ideas for the shadow effect?

I have taken all 3 classes and just retook the first with my mom arm .
I have some scrap quilts in the works and I will endeavor to do, designing your quilt and trapunto.
Have encouraged me to give it a try.
