Just remember Win 7 64 bit required min of 2GB RAM and 32 Bit requires 1GB of RAM.
So far no issues.

Since are running snow leopard with bootcamp 3.0, I believe so .
If so, that architecture is 64-bit and you should have no problem installing Windows 7 64-bit.

As well as this, I have seen that Windows update sometimes contains older versions of drivers, so it is possible, then the network driver is nuked.
Of Windows built in drivers work, but some are bad and cause problems...
