I know I've heard it said (some show probably) that it had difficulty penetrating North Korean winter coats.
Personally, I find that rather unlikely unless the coats were made of kevlar and steel plates.

I believe the point of impact changed over what the GI's fighting despite mortal wounds? Why not, it has happened before in documented cases .
It was the winter coats that made the difference...

Though I took time to find the right coat and my DD knows the "tricks" with using coats, she prefers to take her coat off in the car 100% of the time, even in the bitter cold.

I really like it when Ray is all slicked down in the summer, but he looks pretty cool with his Grizzly Bear Winter Coat. When the sun shines on it, there is a golden glow to the lighter colored hair.
