I wish Comcast would be honest instead on from Comcast!! I too had been very excited for HBO GO to hit the Xbox.

My Samsung smart TV auto downloaded the HBO GO app. After giving up after 1hr on comcast tech support trying to find why I can not enter the HBO GO activation number from my computer. I have found Comcast does not support HBO GO. Hopefully this post will...

Additional information, per....
After getting very excited when the app loaded on our Samsung TV as we had previously tried to access HBO GO through the browser unsuccessfully , we found out that Comcast does offerings .
I'm in the same boat.

HBO/Cinemax & Starz/Encore now copy protected
I've been away from TV for a month. Yesterday I discovered that D* has "copy protected" the Starz/Encore and HBO/Cinemax channels. I feed my HD-DVR signal by HDMI to my AVR and by S-video to my DVD recorder...

Unfortunately, I have no way to remotely turn the tv on/off but since most content... .
It's easy enough to connect and disconnect the DVR's HDMI cable as needed if I wish to record be on to remote view any HBO content, real time or recorded.
