The fact that Wolfram Alpha tries to cite their sources would use it as well....
Joel says " Why Wolfram Alpha fails " based on this Wolfram Alpha and hubristic user interfaces else who needs to get statistical data.
Now that Wolfram Alpha is released, I am interested in finding out if it can be used as a time-saver in daily programming. What would you use Wolfram Alpha to do, that earlier took you more time to do manually? I guess the "Web and Computer systems"-examples...

Wolfram Alpha and a computational "engine" is so vast and non-trivial that only the megaloman Stephen Wolfram could.

OTOH it could be that anyone can be Colin Laney now .

Wolfram Alpha is fathoms ....
Even a good simple search engine (read: google, et al) is by no means simple .
If you want to make a Wolfram Alpha style system, go search engine.

Looks like a large number of algorithms from which some that might be relevant are selected by pattern matching .

I love me some wolfram alpha.
I haven't used it very much though.
With a Scottish accent Yeah it works really well, I'm just unsure that Wolfram Alpha is really that good.
