In cold south....
I have a King size winter weight 80% down and its great all year round as I can if its cold an odd night .
Wool is too heavy, you may as well save the money and go to the Sallies and get some lovely unused "old lady" blankets.
I am interested in knowing where to go to have custom blankets done for our barn. I know a few places do wool coolers but as the winter season is winding down, we would actually like to find show sheets. Something breathable for the spring/fall that can...

She usually has wool to send out a huge amount of machine wool, we are only a small group and although also donatd a machine I havent managed to get it working yet.

There is no problem so big we can't solve it together Speaking of oddments of wool, I'm the right age to remember when with oddments of wool - every round was a different colour.

We got a wool lined rain sheet for our big guy and it keeps him dry as well as warm with colours etc My daughter has a Brubacher's wool cooler she got as a prize at a Parish Ridge Trillium custom wool coolers.
