What weight wool? I'm thinking about ordering a Bookster suit, and they have wool suiting various weights, such as: 340g, 370g, 400g, 480g.
I'd like to get a weight that drapes nicely and can be worn all year round. It's more often cold than it is hot...

Washed or washed often you will be fine....I think your 100% virgin wool would be lovely in a craft....I know that old wool clothes have been cut down & made into beautiful quilts, gloves, hats ect useing wool that has been made ....

I personally would make the cotton....
Do you mean you'd layer cotton jersey with wool on the outside? Wool usually needs to be separated from any other layer because you need to hand wash and lanolize wool to make it water resistent.

Had the pleasure of talking to the manager of a major wool buyer in Belle Fourche SD this past week.
His average price paid over all lots sold in 11' was $2.57/lb. including off sorts (bellies, tags etc. ).

I think 2 If your criterion really is best able to wear with all three of:
- seersucker
- jeans
- brown suit, for example, aren't really right....
Finding a shoe that will work with seersucker, jeans, and a brown wool suit equally well.

-how old is your baby? are you more interested in soft wool that may pill some? or to have sturdier wool that may not be AS soft but won't pill? (important if you have an immobile baby vs% wool yarn would do.
