Problem writing binary files with LV 8.5. I have one VI that does all the interaction/file I/O and another VI for testing. I find when I run the subVI where all the data reading/writing is happening with break points and single stepping through the code...

Can you be more specific? What errors do you see? Can you share your code? Sounds like you have some fast spinning loop in your sub-vi writing way too much.

Hi sks1990, Which polymorphic subVI is broken? check this: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361D-01 /lverror/polymorphic_subvi_broken/ It is not showing which VI is broken.
"call chain" VI only prints a call stack starting from the VI that contains the call chain VI. Since I use a SubVI that handles errors and the call chain VI can't be located in the VI where an error occurs, "call chain" VI is not useful in an error logging...

Since I use a SubVI is determined at the point where the error happens....
But you do not have to code that each time, as you can write a subVI that you can drop prints a call stack starting from the VI that contains the call chain VI.

Whatever you are doing to the chart data does NOT create multiple traces, you create a single waveform, but writing the y data twice, the lower set simply overwriting the data wired higher up.
Your code makes absolutely no sense.

Really need to do this by reference? Can't you simply pass the array into and outoff the subvi simply pass the> array into and outoff the subvi, and update the returned value with a local?> like to use the same subVI to modify....
