Any more ideas? Make sure your xdcam-ex sequence settings exactly with .mov wrapped xdcam-ex files (as opposed to native bpav-folder wrapped files).
But that didn't solve the problem.

You would need to transcode.
It's a fact that Resolve doesn't natively work with XDCam EX files.

Some shots had artifacts that looked exactly like tape drop outs .
Have you tried creating a new project and importing the old project into the new one? I just finished my first project in 6 and had a similar experience but with p2 media (avc intra) .

And then put any XDCAM EX clips we want to save in the USER Data Folder on the disk.

I recently upgraded to CS6. The first thing I noticed was that it does not recognize .mp4 footage from my Sony EX1R. CS5 did, no problems, but CS6 says that it's damaged or corrupted.
It recognizes GoPro .mp4, so it's a problem with the codec, I think...

So for me, they converted from their Apple....
Then you can link deleted all the original XDCAM EX material in derferencd to their Apple ProRez media.
It will be better if you can get the original XDCAM EX footages (which is .mp4).
