DVCPRO HD
If not, is there a plug-in or download available that could do this?

But you can actually use XDCAM EX footage with FCE given you use the right plug-in for QT://www.calibratedsoftware.com/QXD.asp
And I'm now running XDCAM EX footage on FCE.

Is there any software on a PC that can rewrap an XDCAM mxf file to a Quicktime file. I work and edit in Sony Vegas with the XDCAM files and use smart rendering. Once I have the file my client demands XDCAM file in Quicktime mov container.
What can I do...

So I have some XDCAM EX footage at 1920x1080p30. The footage shows up in FCP as 29.97 Progressive footage. My question is, is this correct? I know typically you'd think this footage was interlaced but as I step through I have clean progressive frames....

And this is due to a highly technical issue that came about when color was introduced to video .
No matter what, if your frame rate is 30fps, it runs at 29.97 .
P is progressive...and it runs at 29.97.

The only steps I know to get XDCAM EX to ProRes is to convert to QT, and then transcode via issues editing with XDCAM and EX footage (general errors, memory errors) Just called Sony, they had will read XDCAM EX....

Anyone having problems with XDCAM Browser v2. Not sure if it's related but Windows 7 just did an update and now XDCAM Browser won't load. Tried uninstalling and installing with no luck.
Any advice?

Whether you choose LT setting to XDCAM with render effects to ProRes, and render it all, watch it, and when it's ok to output in the current settings.
I think the thing to do is render to prores in an xdcam sequence setting.
