I am developing a C# application with .NET Framework 2.0.
The problem is, that on my client's pc, the controls get expanded, layout changes (positions of the controls gets changed), sometimes buttons get missed entirely. It happens even on Forms...

It's probably due to the DPI setting in Windows XP.
Edit: I forgot to mention that you can keep things looking 'normal' at any dpi setting .

I've been running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit since it was released in late October on installing much on that drive, you should be fine with 30 GB.

Why does Windows 7's Virtual PC running Win XP Professional has no "Shut down" button -- if clicking on START, there is only "Log off".

The Windows Virtual PC blog has an article on how to shut down a virtual machine .
I suppose the "Shutdown" command in XP is removed by the Integration Features of the virtualized XP.

All XP Mode does is make it so you can run programs in a virtual machine under Windows XP, but have them appear to be native the applications that need the drivers....
Drivers installed in XP Mode have no effect on the host system.
