My Blue Tang and Yellow Tang have HLLE
Hi Everyone,
My Yellow Tang and Hippo Tang both have HLLE.
Here's a little background.
On August 2nd I moved my clownfish, Hippo Tang and Yellow Tang into my new RSM 250 65 gallon aquarium.

I bought a small regal tang today and my yellow tang keeps running into him viciously. should i try and catch the yellow tang? 25G Reef Hex Tank.

They yellow tang would be ok Angelfish, Bi-Color Angelfish, Blue/Green Chromis, Yellow Eye Kole Tang, 2 Devil Blue Damselfish, cleaner-Color Angelfish....
If you are going to keep one, get rid of the regal tang.
In that tank.

G miliaris? Most would say you should not keep one tang in a tank.
One tang in that size eel? The one in your profile pic.
I wouldnt even try it in 210g tank.
Is to small for multiple yellow tangs.

Fyi, not sure if you are aware, but yellow tang is a zebrasoma too.
It's barely big enough for just one of them.
I would not try a yellow and a purple tang together in a 120g.

Okay, thanks JL Aquatics has tons of them, small but they will grow fast if feed well .
Might want to change your location to something a little more specific than "BC" so people will know whether you're close enough to deal with .

I bought a copper band butterfly yesterday and my yellow tang attacked it. chased, bit, and tryed very hard to spear I caught her and put her in my 10 gallon nano. How long do you guys think it will be before I can take her back to the 100 gallon?

Would love to add a Purple Tang to my 75 gallon tank. Current residents include a pair of percula clowns, one blue damsel, coral band shrimp, two turbo snails, numerous hermits.
Filtration is done with a 55 sump that has 1/4 of it split off as a ATO reservoir...

My yellow is really friendly to me, my clownfish pair, and the six line wrasse.
I have a yellow in my 55 though so I cannot address the purple tang.
Purple Tang!!! Those things are beautiful.

If you are talking about the strip, the yellow tang will fade there fine? yes i have a yellow tang.
Towards its tail most yellow tangs have it.

So my choice would be the yellow plus you tank is borderline to small for a regal tang i agree....
Yellow is pushing it, maybe a kole would be your other choice tang are easier to keep.
Blue tang will be too big for a 75g.
