Girlfriend wants try her hand at hunting. Put her on a few calibers and she prefers the .243, but the normal rifles are too big. Savage axis XP looks like a cheap entry gun, but is it any good? Any other suggestions?

Youth Model Shotgun I am looking for some assistance. I am trying to find a 20 ga youth model that I have seen before. I think it was a Remington 1100. It had a straight stock rear stock, no pistol grip. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Not just mine had the same issues, have a bud that had 2 of the same shotgun for his sons .
Was not dependable, unbelievably terrible trigger, kept throwing the bolt handle .
Tri Star makes a semi that looks like
an 1100, but I would not recommend it .

Looks like your son is in agreement as well! Yes, Sir...That is a nice little rifle ....and the 243 round works well for coyote and deer ...I use one myself... .
Savage makes a solid product and I really like the accutrigger .
Great choice for a first rifle.

This was my trap shooting gun, but I have not trap shot in a couple years and part of moving is to get rid of stuff I don't use. It looks almost brand now, super clean, and not even a scratch on the wood.
I did put high viz sights on it and just oiled...

Hi. I have been contemplating getting a Henry youth model .22 for my kids. A regular size .22 is still a bit large for them to shoot comfortably. What alternatives are out there to the Henry lever action youth? Seems like a nice gun, but still curious...

The Savage Youth model would be of some interest to me since I own a Mark II that is very accurate.
Stu Besides the Youth levergun, Henry markets a Youth model.

You really need to have the kids handle the guns to know which fits best .
(hunting age in sd is 12 approach the youth gun market the same.
Gauge youth model which is what we used in the hunter safety course anyway.
