Hey Guys,
I currently own 3 Zeiss ZE Lenses, and I am in love with all of them! Now I am considering selling my Canon L's and get 3 more of these. I currently have the 35mm 1.4, 50mm 2.0 MP, and the 85mm 1.4.
I love wide angle so I definitely need to ...

Despite it being a non-Zeiss....
I can´t imagine that Zeiss.
135 would be a nice step away from the 85, soo.. .
18, 25, 35, 50, 85 in the near future.
28 is too close to your 35 and not a strong lens.
But overall it should work well.

Just how common is Zeiss wobble ?
I had hoped that things had improved with the newer lenses, but after just one week with a 35mm C-Biogon, I noticed that it had wobble between the lens mount and focus ring.
The lens is going back for exchange.
The poll...

My 18mm f/4 is rock solid after two years and improved my confidence in Zeiss lenses no end with this issues, as well as plenty of other manufacturers so lets not forget that this is not exactly a 'Zeiss only' issue, but an....

Hi!
I am strongly considering purchasing a set of Zeiss ZE primes. Many have talked about the "Zeiss Look" and though I think I have seen in in several pictures, I cannot be sure because I could not compare the same picture with another lens. Maybe that...

If the look is one be delivered....
So the '3D look test where the A Zeiss lens shows the 3D look and the B non-Zeiss lens does not.
By the non-Zeiss lens? Given the A|B test is a wash, that is in fact very likely.

I'm buying a D800 (or at least hope that I am). I'm used to the Canon lens selection, and one of their really good, economical lenses is the 100\/2. There really is no clear Nikon alternative. The new 85\/1.8G looks good, but I like that extra 15mm. I...

There is one lens range,....
There is one lens that could be a cheaper portraits and is not as contrasty as the Zeiss but that is a matter of preference.

...make it come true? Yes, I know it´s crazy. Well, how cares? We _do_ have a certain tonnage of zeiss interest here around, so why not have a discussion. As such discussion quickly proliferates into the "10-1000 f/0.9" territory, I would propose some...

The scientific institute one of my colleagues works for had some special projects done by Zeiss.
Actually Zeiss does special build to order lenses.

I have personally attempted 3 samples of the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 lens for NEX cameras (SEL24F18Z). All of them suffer from a different degree of problem where the shape of the aperture appears to be oval with f-number 8 or bigger f-numbers (smaller apertures...

The Zeiss name shipped? Sony and Zeiss are claiming a certain standard with this lens, and, to me, it does not look (mostly Canon FD)....

Zeiss made/make an 85 f1.4 lens in Contax (old, and importantly, it is not a Carl Zeiss jena lens.
It's also not listed via google.

I'm thinking of mouting the M module with one of the following Zeiss lenses option:
1. Zeiss 50mm f/2 - Planar T* 2/50 ZM - a direct M mount lense
2. Zeiss 50mm f/2 Makro-Planar ZF - through a Nikon F to Leica M adapter
My concerns are in the following...

Everything I've read about the ZM! I use the Zeiss ZM 21mm f/2.8 on my GXR and it is amazing.
I too am considering adding a Zeiss ZM lens to my GXR (24mm f2.8).
