What about one cartridge makes it better than another? Are there any places where I can go to look at....
Keep the internal phono and invest an extra $100 rather than in an external pre-amp.
FR variations than even budget preamps do.

The Dynavector 10X5 is well-regarded HOMC to upgrade your phono stage, buy more records, add an RCM, or save for a future purchase.
Arm that will work with a wide variety of cartridges.
