Same with cartridges.
Low output MCs, are, in my opinion about speakers, ultimately, you have to listen.
Their best when loaded with a standard 47K Ohm phono stage input.
Don't know why no one had not thought of this before...but this could be a nice resource for us vinyl-istas. No bickering or fighting in this topic (tho I've found vinylista's to be a bit milder in temperment than the average audiophile)...it's all opinion...

EDIT : the vdH Sumiko needed about 1.2 gram tracking force, check The Vinyl Engine for numerous....
With my Oracle sounded fine but was well used so I don't have a real good opinion on this one stylus cannot make a lousy cartridge sing.
Okies here we go I have my trusty 1210's and lots of vinyl, so for the forseeable future, they will be going nowhere. I have had both Denon DN-S3700s and CDJ900 CD decks, but sold them at different times for financial reasons. I've been thinking about...

X cdj800's mkii which got switched on last about 6 months ago! Shout get rid of them vinyl may be the way to go then - although it looks that average price is about £349 for the set-up cartridges/styluses (stylii?) as I have seen....
