The Hatcher Pass area is a good suggestion....
If you get out there and decide that it's a tad too pedestrian for you there are a bunch of side roads off.
Ride and there's a mix of dirt road type surfaces and plenty of stuff to take picture of.

The MD part i wasn't so crazy about.
Dirt roads in MD and VA have a lot of houses along still mourning the loss of my water bottle and gas can.
It's mostly dirt from Ridge Rd all the way to MD .

Three of us have opted to tackle Lands End to John o' Groats in July this year. Our accommodation is already pre-booked having plotted a very rough route. What I need to do now is sit down and plot the exact route we are to take from each stopover.

Yep. There are some some amazing roads over here in Portugal. Pictures, you say. How about a helmet cam video?
