I didn't kow CPVC came in two types.
ABS cement is usually:38tsmd.gg4.19.4@news.alt.net...
PVC cement is usually clear (or blue).
CPVC cement is usually orange.
Purple.
Found a thread sealer for the plumbing on the gas tank. seals the threads for 43 different liquids, gases, or compounds.half pint cost $9.62, got it at the local HVAC supply.seals threads on all metals,PVC,CPVC,ABS and nylon plastic pipe.

It is called Blue Monster , and....
Just make sure you wash the threads with a solvent before you apply sealer .
I used it for 20 years in the piping industry .
Is it LEAK LOCK? If so it's good stuff, especially for high pressure joints Leaklock is the best .

Alot of people think copper would last forever in a DWV system but installed in the wrong location without protection this is what can happen.

Copper is wonderful for water lines in most places, but there are some areas that have minerals in the water that eat copper so CPVC or Pex are used on a septic tank, or unusual disposal conditions....
PVC and ABS are practically indestructible.
Is it okay to cut up white pvc pipe and place them in the shrimp tanks for hides?

Different types of plastic pipe, including PVC, ABS, HDPE, CPVC, PEX, PB, nylon (and a few others.
Going to be using a keggle. Bought an extra 1" full coupling to make a dimple tool. I have some pretty big impact sockets to use as the backer. You dimpled into the kettle correct?

It fits my explanatory, but got a ....
Copper pipe.
In the CPVC pipe end, I pressed home a short piece of 1/2 in.
Stainless washer.
NPT adapter fitting that I had into the tapered fitting in .
CPVC to 1/2 in.
I pressed a 1/2 in.
On the bolt.
I'm a bit wierded out by all this discussion - like, anyone know "plumbing"? First, the main function of a trap is not to catch crap, but to hold water and block sewer gas from coming back through your drain. A p-trap should never be glued under any sink...
