Just make sure you wash the threads with a solvent before you apply sealer .
I used it for 20 years in the piping industry .
Is it LEAK LOCK? If so it's good stuff, especially for high pressure joints Leaklock is the best .

It probably has a fresh air intake the gas.
This is usually just
a PVC pipe.
It must the need for the direct vent.
Vents for water heaters or
furnaces, you cannot use regular ABS, PVC or CPVC pipe.
