You just bypass the HEI module in the distributor and use the mag pickup for a trigger .
If you do, the link will tell you how.
Hopefully you have a schematic for the 71100.

Shouldn't it be something like
getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_A, Toolkit...getMenuShortcutMask())
?
i.e.

Gotta be somebody out there that still likes points. I sure don't. This accel dual point was in a sbc for about 4 passes in my drag car many years ago. Hanked it for a Mallory HEI. Like new condition with no wear on the points! $20.00 plus SHIPPING.
