Having a comfortable chair, a nice clean desk also help clear your mind of unwanted stress .
Multiple Monitors will be a popular suggestion I'm sure.

As far as a third-party microphone plugged into the dock connector, this is not possible in... .
To determine if the device has a built in microphone you can just go by [UIDevice currentDevice].model to see if it's an iPhone or a 2nd generation iPod Touch .

You don't need to subclass... .
You'll need to create a custom view and assign it to the accessoryView property of the UITableViewCell object .

The External Accessory framework is for communication with custom hardware via the USB dock....
If you are syncing data with a Mac app, I would check out ZSync .
For communicating with computers, I would use Wi-Fi.
I think that is for custom devices.
