I keep changing my language settings in Windows XP to English (US) or, even worse, Estonian by accident. I've got the language bar on and I need to keep it. I'm pretty sure I'm not accidentally clicking the bar. Is there any other way I could be doing...

Maybe, if your are both....
If you have SSH to some other host and ran ftp/telnet then these answers are irrelevant .
When you say, on the bash shell, I am assuming this shell is running on the computer at the locations you mention .

There's not really any way for Python to know that you didn't "mean" to yield from some function .
A "generator" isn't so much a language feature, as a name for functions that "yield." Yielding is pretty much always legal .

As well as checking that the HDD isn't damaged you should check that all the memory modules are OK (properly seated and working) as well as the CPU itself, any other expansion cards (network etc.) and the HDD cables (both data and power) as well .
