Keep in mind not to pay "tourista" prices: cab from airport....
Cabs are very cheap in Quito (about $10 to/from airport) by a public health doctor upon arrival at the airport, for swine flu prevention.

Congo is much more expansive than Burkina or Mali . In Brazzaville decent hotels start at 50.000 CFA and you wont get something special for 100.000 CFA. In the range of 30.000 CFA you'll often get bucket-water. PNR is a bit cheaper but forget everything...
