I dread having to contend with the Taxi Mafia at Bali airport after a long flight and a bit of jet lag. And in no mood to handle con men and tricksters.
I thought I could just grab my 12 kg backpack off the carousal and just walk straight out of the terminal...

There is the Airport Lodge, which is a lot less flash than La Vasa, but it's clean and very pleasant.

You seemed to have booked accommodation to get the airport shuttle into the city, then catch either e Redline or Tassielink bus to Launceston accommodation.
Minutes from the airport and the taxi will be expensive.
