I keep gettin different answers from my doctors/NP when I ask the folic acid question. I know it doesnt hurt to keep taking it but im just tired of so many pills and if its not going to benefit anything at this point (20 wks) should i keep taking it. ...

I'm still taking my 4mg of folic acid as well.
As much as my 4 supplements a day why but I just keep taking it.. .
I take folic acid, multivitamin supplement, iron and magnesium.

Hi ladies I'm just thinking about preparing my body for a future pregnancy and was wondering if anyone could recommend what the best folic acid tablet to take is or should i take a combo one like the pregnacare pre conception one? Any input is appreciated...

HTh Thanks Madame Bijoux! I spotted those advertised alright so will look with iron and all that, plus the RDA of folic acid in them.
Contain 400 mcg of folic acid.

I won't go in to too much detail here but we are considering having another baby. We were thinking we'd start trying in a couple of months as we have a truckload of commitments at present and my chances of getting hyperemesis again are relatively high...

As for folic acid, if you were to conceive to build up your folic acid but in saying that Ive had 2 pregnancies now where I didn't think....
Your fertile to try and plan BDing a bit more tricky .

Im 4 1/2 month pregnant and i didn't take folic acid tablet ? my docter only give me iron ,prenatel vitamins and calcium she didnt give me folic acid but now in 18 week im im taking this folic acid tablet so is it ok for my baby its my second baby thanks...

Its not required folic acid but either way i wouldn't worry too much back in the day pregnant woman didn't take.
Im sure you and you baby will be fine.
Most prenatal vitamins contain folic acid.

The vitamins can't hurt to be TTC'g this summer and I'm back on folic acid now (recommended but not required) and am currently in my multivitamin.
More folic acid and the vitamins have decent amounts of everything.

A daily supplement of folic acid, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 doesn't reduce the risk of cancer. Sorry ChaCha now y'all

Isn't Folic Acid the supplement that they load up on for pregnant women to avoid birth defects and things like Spinabifida? Or is it some other supplement I'm thinking of?
