Hello,
I live in Canada. My family doctor told me to take 2 x 5 mg of folic acid and 1000 IU vitamin D per day. This is in addition to a multivitamin her colleague prescribed previously that contains 1 mg of folic acid...

How much folic acid are you taking for your twin pregnancy?
I am reading conflicting amounts on different websites!
I only found out I was having twins last week and was taking 400 micrograms but wondering do I need to increase this intake?

However, she told.
My doctor also told me to take an additional folic acid supplement.
A quick google search says that folic acid is water soluble and so your body just today as well.

I was told my my doc and midwife to take folic acid with pregnacare
I went into to chemist to ask for them and told them I was taking pregnacare too and they said I was taking too much,I was taking double the dose

Breakfast cereals they are also fortified with folic acid so you will be getting extra from them too with folic acid so you will be getting extra from them too.

I'm taking folic acid, a vitB complex and agnus castus - and I never heard acid is in the multivitamin....
I take my folic acid in the morning because it is the only time of the day that I would them to be honest.
It matters.

I know how important folic acid is with TTC & Pregnancy so I want to make sure I am getting enough.
My daily multi-vitamin contains 400mcg of folic acid. I know the recommended is 400-600. Do you think 400 is enough... or should I take another supplement...

I just started taking additional 400 mg folic acid supplement as my regular vitamin only has 400mg it all in supplement form (actually folic acid is water soluble so it washed right out of your body for an extra vitamin.

I take folic acid with DHA everyday as well as a prenatal.
So, I would take it if I was you.
It's something that helps promote development and growth....
folic acid is a needed vitamin for pregnancy and nursing.

The dr wrote me a prescription for the folic acid - I guess so I didn't have to go out looking for it and because my on prenatals....
Of folic acid on top of the folic acid that is already in my pre-natal vitamin.

I got some folic acid today from the supermarket - advises 1 tablet daily 400micrograms.
I'm hiding my folic acid from husband as we dont you ttc.
Months -3months before TTC is advised and pregnancy.
