Are you sure it's 5mg and not 500mcg? Women planning a pregnancy are advised to take around
4-500mcg a day- 5mg of folic acid is 5000mcg which is above the recommended dose.

it as soon as you are trying to conceive aswell Think you're supposed to take it throughout your pregnancy
