acorn squash/crroked neck squash crossbreed?

In the spring I planted a row of Acorn squash and a row of crocked neck squash next to it. My
Crocked neck squash did great but the Acorn squash only produced about 3 fruit, 2 of which got ground...
. I saved the seeds from a grocery store acorn squash I bought over the winter.
