Hi all
I have a problem cutting white acrylic with 60w laser engraver. When cutting the laser leaves black burns on the side of acrylic( picture attached) I tried :
1. Cut by 2 times with less speed or power
2. I tried to set corner power 0, 50 and 10...

I don't know if that actually helps ....
Regarding the corner power, if I'm cutting acrylic at 60 power, I set the corner power to 59.
Have you tried raising the acrylic above the cutting bed a little by putting maybe 1/4" pieces at it also.

That 3rd dimension can only be straight.
Lasercutting can only cut in 2 dimensions and the acrylic thickness is the 3rd dimension.
It with lasercut acrylic because of the curves the Advantage has.

I am looking to order a acrylic tank 72long 20wide and 20 deep got a estimate for $750 using 3/4 acrylic and that with two overflows predrilled and everything. Is that a decent price for that or am I gonna pay too much?

I been looking through craigslist to find 24" wide x 20" high with 1/2" acrylic....
Why do you need it to be 3/4" acrylic?
Doesn't sound high for a new tank, but you can probably find 3/4 acrylic will be a lot better and should prevent bowing.

What is the difference between Acrylic and Wood drums ?
I know John Bonham used Both of them but I can't understand why they're different.

Well sorry for pointing out the obvious but wood drums are made from wood and acrylic drums are made from acrylic (a plastic-like material)
Both have completely different physical and sonic qualities are made from wood and acrylic....

I just finished turning my dozen acrylic slimline pens. You know what I like most about turning acrylic? NOTHING!

About the only....
Ninety five percent of the time on acrylic blanks go, but there are tricks to that too..
No longer use CA as a finish so takes me awhile to finish wood pen blanks .
I find acrylic blanks easier to turn and finish then wood.

DIY Acrylic Tank
So now that my 150 is almost in full swing I'm contemplating ditching my 56 Tall and possibly building an acrylic tank that will sit in the same stand. The dimensions would be 30X18X approximately 16 high.
The question is what size acrylic...
