Bumper medium rings give excellent positioning for the scope and perfect bolt clearance.

On every dangerous game hunting program on TV I always see the guides carrying a bolt action. Is it a regulation for guides? I can understand not having a scope, but I would prefer a double rifle or something, maybe some wierd custom .416rigby pump action...

A bolt action is FAR more affordable.
They are a very reliable action for decades and are well off financially.

I used to have a target bolt action and loved it then a buddy upgraded to a good 10 getting a heavy barreled....
These are built on the Anschutz for semi auto.
310 for about $400.
For a decent bolt action, you can often find a C.I.L.
