I am not a big yogurt fan but need to eat a probotic yogurt. Any recommendations on the best tasting yogurt?

Not all yogurt has live cultures to have Activa....
Again, definitely read the labels on the yogurt.
Sure the fine print on the yogurt says "Live and active cultures" - that's the key to making sure grows on you.

Just curious, what the problem is with yogurt? (The refrigerator kind) Is it the live cultures or is it the fermentation or something else? And if it is the live cultures, should I not be eating frozen yogurt (the freezer kind) that has live cultures?...

I don't know yet whether or not I'm OK with "regular" yogurt because I have been afraid to try have frozen yogurt with no problem....

But you can skip that in the yogurt....
I use a turkey baster with honey cooking it down then adding to the yogurt and it is just like the commercial but cheaper.
Forgot to add, in the morning you need to take the whey off the yogurt.

It's a good recipe and it makes a nice yogurt.
Only one difference in my method is that I put hours .
Valerie, this is how I make the yogurt for my quark.
So far DS loved everything I've fed him & read in my baby bullet cookbook that if our Pedi says ok then to try all natural plain yogurt, cottage cheese and tofu. I personally hate c/c & tofu. Do any of u give LO these? If so any specific brand if yogurt...

And you'd be better off with a real yogurt maker that....
They even say they use the traditional method and make the yogurt as in "real it into the yogurt maker at the right temperature for the culture.

Can someone explain to me the benefits I will receive from yogurt w/ live active cultures. I had a field day at Trader Joe's yesterday (love that place) and picked up some organic milk yogurt w/ the cultures bc I know everyone raves about it bc of imbalances...

If that is so, the Fage plain yogurt that I have carb....
Diet preaches that if the greek yogurt states on the label that it contains active cultures, you can carb yogurt if it contains live active cultures.

Not have to use special starter...just buy any Greek yogurt that has active cultures noted starter...just buy any Greek yogurt that has active cultures noted on the ingredients and use.
