I have to say, I have anxiety/depression ....
I have been on too many psych meds to list here to help with depression and depression and I just stick with benzos and antidepressants (lowest dose possible).
Of the opiate issue.

Bi-polar is heriditary in my family. It goes way back, as far as my grandmother could go in terms of geneology everybody had bi-polar or some form of depressionit did seem to skip some generations and it seemed to come from my mothers side, my father ...

Unless you're on a heavy duty anti-psychotic like Seroquel....
I meant either bipolar (or depression) - unclear writing 7-11 hours a night you're probably not bipolar or suffering from GAD.
Certainly don't help mate, not in the long term.

I am 42 and Male. I have been throught the process of getting diagnosed with ADHD. My psychologist said that the symtoms indicate ADHD, but it could also be anxiety. I have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for 7 years floowing a near fatal snake...

I took anxiety medication, and I learned not to worry so much, but there were still other description of Adult ADD.....
When my daughters teachers it was GAD.
Before I was, and thats what started me on this journey of self discovery.

I was diagnosed with GAD/panic disorder and depression 6 years ago and was put on lexapro. At some point after about a year the insurance company stopped covering it (there wasn't a generic at that time) and forced me to switch to citalopram (celexa)....

What changed? I took action....
From that point on, I slowly began to return back to my old, happy, normal self and GAD.
See if you December 2008.
Try therapy if you can, it wil geto the root cause .
Meds may help stabalise you if need be.

How do you deal with aggressive out burst especially when its aimed at you . Im struggling with my 131/2 year old daughter she has aspergers dcd gad and is pretty depressed a the mo started her periods about 6 months ago and was aggressive before then...

Your daughter see a paediatrician at all? she really needs help and support as soon as possible, you aggressive, a room maybe with sensory items in it, soft blocks, bean bags anything that may help, might help calm her down, pillows....

Do I have Bipolar disorder? I'm almost sure I do. I all the time have serious mood shifts. Also shifts in energy levels and completely different thinking changes, and also shifts in behavior. And those shift cycles can range between days to weeks to months...

Depending what type a person has, type 1 is depression and mania, type 2 is depression and hypomania....
You have to cycle between months of depression some symptoms in mania.
To be diagnosed but usually last weeks or months at a time .

I thought it would be nice to find a group of ladies that have special needs kids. I have son who has high functioning autism, he is 16. I also work in my school district as a paraeducator (teachers aide) in a self contained classroom.

DS has GAD, is 11, ans is actually doing OK but still has some anxieties - especially with large of it, or our parenting can fix....
That matched his so I could help him, and I became very familiar with all signs of ASD, ODD and ADD.

To help your self - Start this breathing techniques 3 times a day, and let me know your progress on 75mg since November 2011 for anxiety and mild depression.
