Sorry for the influx of suggestions but once I get thinking then ideas keep coming.
I think SMF should flow more, it's hard to convey what I mean but currently I think SMF has to many page loads. It would be good to get instant feedback and autoupdating...

From what I can tell my hooks aren't being called.
My hooks file (smf_2_integration_hooks.php) is in the smf directory.
In index.php I've put this line at the very top of the file.

I've been using 1.1.14 and am in the process of backing it up so I can upgrade to 1.1.16.
Is there a way to moderate new members? It seems to me, one way to help prevent the spam issues is to set new members to moderation and only allow them to post freely...

There are a number of ways to add some additional restrictions using the membergroups.
Upgrading SMF I'd already begun the upgrade so don't want to stop it in the middle are looking for.
To upgrade to 2.0.2.
