That's my take.
Of what advice I've given that is the best advice can only be answered by the persons who have gotten that advice, as the assessment would be based on the impact it had on them.

Write a lot of unit tests.....
Write all scenarios and use cases for how it is currently being used .
What programs it has to work with, and how.
Make sure you have implicit requirements as well as explicit ones - i.e .
Get a very firm list of requirements.

Best advice I was ever given was to play as often as possible with other, because no one stocks....
Even sure you learn how to tune.

This was a particularly rubbish piece of advice not just from a health pov but as my MIL knew, she was exclusively BF and didn't even take....
The same advice! Then there's the old favourite, I'm "making a rod for my own back" by doing things.
According to the recipient, this is the best advice I've EVER given: "If you find a girl that will call your hits in dry fire, you marry her!" He's probably right. SA When it comes to dry fire, I wrote the book! :)
