I know it hurts, but he is pretty young, and probably isn't comfortable enough with being gay. For some people, being gay and accepting it is easy, for others its not so black and white. When you go to MEPS to get your physical get a copy of the physical and have your parents put it some were safe. That way you have a base line for your physical condition prior to getting in. I know a few Marines who had their records lost and can't get benefits because of that. source

I have never really thought about it before, nor do I really feel comfortable saying what I like or love about myself. I believe it is because I have always had low self esteem and also felt it is a bit conceded.
