MPI_Recv can use MPI_ANY_SOURCE as a way to receive a message from any other rank .
Have a look at MPI_Probe.
Yes, MPI_RECV can specify MPI_ANY_SOURCE as the rank of the source of a message so you should be able to do what you want .

TO-30...I rebuilt the starter, and thought while it was down I"d redo the carb to clean out out and get rid of the flooding I"d been haveing.

A quick prognosis, choke it a little if it improves then it needs more gas, turn main jet out 1/4 if not in 1/4... .
May have main load screw in too far, try backing out, should acclelerate good with engine warm if all ports are open and float set to spec .
