Have a life.
Spend some time on StackOverload, of course....
I answer questions on Stack Overflow for some intellectual stimulation .

Is it better to work a summer job in the morning/afternoon or afternoon/night? I've never worked before and I can't decide when I want to work. In your experiences which time did you prefer to work over the summer?

If you know the format exactly, tell the application what it is - use DateTime.ParseExact... .
I'm honestly not sure where to go from there, but it may give you a starting point .
It sounds like somehow the culture object isn't understanding military time notation .
