Hey guys! I just got the Betainvite and am desperate to start playing. I've dowloaded the Setup.exe from bnet but I'm pretty much stuck here. When I run the exe the diablo II Setup starts and says "Updating Setup Files" after that it just opens the bnet...

I'm aware that this isn't really battle.net and your diablo... .
Three exe files (plus any extra agents) to your windows firewall and antivirus allow/exception lists or rights.Tried running them in as Admin but got the same error.

I am trying to allow the McAfee agent to run on Windows PCs without popping up CSA warnings. I ran through the Wizard to allow this exception, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Is there something I am missing?

I made one just for mcscript_inuse.exe downloading and executing and it seems to work ok .
Was this trojan detection? You may want to create an exception for the folder and all .exe's instead of trying to do individual .exe's.

I'm writing a scheduler or sorts. It's basically a table with a list of exes (like "C:\a.exe") and a console app that looks at the records in the table every minute or so and runs the tasks that haven't been run yet.

What you can do is check on the ExitCode of the application or read the StandardOutput and StandardError streams to check whether error messages are being posted.
Not be a concept of exception at all.

I was able to browse to the OTL program and click on run. Program started but then produced an error:
APPLICATION ERROR
Exception EOleSysError in module OTL.exe@ 000571A5. Class not registered.
