Anyone ever entered an Agricultural Show?
I've entered a few things in the closes local country show to where I live. The Dalgety Show is probably one of the smallest in the state, but it's all about participating and having a go. I'd only just returned from Japan and didn't have time to get my act together this year, but in the past I've won first, second and third prizes for my photos, a second for a succulent plant and a second for a beer damper. However, don't be too impressed about the prize for the damper as there were only two entries LOL! I cook with wine sometimes I even put it in the food.

Is Agriculture Immoral?
I had an Anthropologist tell me one time the true human impact on eco systems began with organized agriculture about 10,000 years ago. The onset of the agricultural age was the material cultural foundation that evolved into to all the evils we hear about today, which may or may not be true, pollution caused global warming, overpopulation, the evils of capitalism and consumption etc. So the next time an "anti" questions the ethics of hunting ask them about the morality of agriculture!

How does global warming effect agriculture?
Warming generally helps plants because they can grow faster. If CO2 increases that allows plants to increase photosynthesis, particularly when it is warmer. Increased CO2 will allow plants to close their stomata which is an opening plants use in respiration, thereby allowing the plant to grow with less water.
