Will a MacBook Air have enough horsepower for occasional development in Ruby? Objective C? Cocoa?
Are there any other major limitations with doing this?
Notes:
I hook it up to a large Monitor. I would be hoping to use standard mainstream Mac IDEs. I know...

If it's making the house lights blink to a service tech .
When you say your lights blink, do you mean the lights on the A/C or in the house? If it's the lights on the A/C, you could try unplugging it for 10 minutes.

It's not much use to me (no A/C system) but I think it's pretty hardly any air, it would start....
