I am hoping to start a part-time/at home tax preparation business but I have a few questions. What would be a realistic number of clients for someone's first year advertising pretty much through craigslist throughout California? I am trying not to charge...

Raising the tax rate will not.
Simplifying the tax code ( flat tax ) will take care of the inequities.
The code is a plethora of exceptions and deductions.
The rate is not the problem but the tax code is.

In our case, I let me wife decide for me and herself as she does our taxes (has the training in tax of the estimated taxes I pay are a lot, along with the yearly tax bill.

as background....
