My ex had me served today. He wants to modify my alimony which is ridiculous bc I'll be on welfare. My question is since he filed this today and my alimony is due on the 15th. Does he still have to pay it or is it up for review and I'm out of luck?

I personally think alimony is an outdated concept. Back in the day when women were only housewives, alimony made sense. Their career was being a housewife, so after divorce they need to support.
In this day and age, the only time alimony should be awarded...

Alimony is the reason my parents aren't getting a divorce, but my mom works at the hospital, not every day but at least 5 times a month. If my parents split my mom can't pay for me, my brother and herself by herself. My brother and i both also have jobs...
