Just curious! Do you think the amount he has to pay is fair? Does it ever put a dent on your budget? Do you consider it both you and your dh's expense or just his? Who pays it, you or him? Just some questions, no big deal! Again, I'm only curious! :)

DH pays $1,000 a month for one with his child, so in the long run he isn't paying her that much! That's like half a month's income.
For SD while she's at their home, so there's no support going either way.

Am I corrected to read on page 12-12 if NO alimony received they could use child support in it's place? Have a client recieved a heifty child support but no alimony? Thanks---haven't used child support on return ever.

It's treated as $5K child....
Is that if one spouse is ordered to pay $5K/year in child support, and $5K/year in alimony, but only pays $8000 in the year, then it's not split as $4K child support and $4K alimony.

I am still in the process of divorce. My problem is my soon to be ex is being paid under the table. And I am sure the person paying him will say he's getting paid alot less then what he's giving him. I know I can use tax returns to prove he is capable...
