Best trans fluid for Allison
I got an Allison with 170,000 miles in it. Don't know anything on the history of it, I just recently got the truck. What do yall recommend as far as which fluid to use and what else I should do?

Whatever you do don't use DexVI in a pre 2007 Allison because it will tear up the Viton....

So and 05 dmax 6.6. Does that have an Allison? The guy at car Lot says all the diesels have an Allison. He's says if there's and exterior filter on the tranny then it's an Allison. Can someone please verify for me? Thanks!
