A local company went out of business and I purchased one of their laptops. Apparently the employee who had it was an avid scrapbooker and had tons and tons of graphic files.
Some are titled the same as some cricut cartridges. I only have a trial version...

Cathy, I have MTCI have the older version of SCAL I can use the .svg files with that.
Why don't you try contacting sure cuts alot directly? They are very helpful.

I am trying to change this jpg to a svg can any one tell me how. I have tried 3 different web sites but none of the svg they make will open in SCAL.

With inkscape all you would then saves as svg Inkscape (which is free) is the program many people use to covert images to svg's.
You can also do this right in Sure Cuts alot by using the trace image..

If you open new file in Inkscape, import bitmap and then save file as .svg - it would be still a bitmap of the online T printing....
Not quite sure if I fully understood your and printshop crew`s problem.
Places will take .svg files.

It's necessary to first save the drawing as .svg, and then save it as .hpgl.
Is that "IN;SP1;" what shows on the cutter machine display? I'm not sure what you mean, so if you could explain.
